It is said that the Phaistos Disk, which was found in 1908 and still remains a mystery, is one of the first examples of the "Cretan hieroglyphic" writing system.

Phaistos disc (faistos), discovered on the Greek island of Crete in 1908, and its history dates back to 1700 BC; some call the ancestor of the printing press, some call the alphabet, some call the marriage certificate; It is a two-sided clay artifact with spiral-shaped images on it. It is exhibited in Heraklion Archaeological Museum in Greece.
A total of 45 stamps (one for each mark) were used on the disc. The marks are placed on the disc with good planning. What he said is not resolved. There is no similar (yet) found. The symbols on the disc are not engraved by hand, they are printed using these stamps.
We can interpret the issue of why this first printed document in the world, dated to 3700 years ago, does not indicate a printing process in the Mediterranean:

The stamps are printed on clay, not paper. Paper, a much more useful material than clay, is not found in Crete (it is nowhere to be found; its invention is only in the sixteenth century). How to print on clay?
If you are going to print serially, your molds must be durable. you shall make your stamps of metal to be durable; this requires a completely different technology that was not available in Crete at that time (and nowhere else in the world for hundreds of years): metalworking technology (in those printing houses, letters and patterns were made with tin-zinc-lead alloy, brass alloy, bronze alloy).
It still has ink, writing, culture, we haven't even been there yet. In summary, there is nothing to think about the printing house. A very unique and special disc faistos disc.
